Our current class of Civic Saturday Fellows

Fellows represent the web of identities and ideologies that make this country so vibrant. Our current class of Fellows participated in Citizen University’s training, Civic Seminary, in the fall of 2023 and winter of 2024. They are catalyzing a culture of powerful, responsible citizenship from North Carolina to the Pacific Northwest. Read about the current Fellows below!

Fellow Feature: A Cohort of UW Alumni

A civic saturday fellow pointing at a UW impact banner. We wrapped up our fall season of the Civic Saturday Fellowship by partnering with UW Impact, the UW Alumni Association’s legislative advocacy program, and bringing 11 UW alumni into the fold of fellows. Each of these Fellows opened their hearts and revived their dedication to their communities this week.

What do they have in the works? Tami from Vashon Island is planning a Civic Saturday for families with kids at her library. Kyle from Yakima is going to collaborate with a former political opponent to deepen unity in a divided community. And Jenn will convene her community in a restaurant at the heart of town to break bread and deepen relationships.

This has given renewed sense of purpose around why I’m doing this work and why I want to impact real change in the communities I’m working in. I’m feeling full of hope, skills, and resources to bring people together to share common purpose.
