Secure systems

We work hard to ensure your information is safe and secure. We respect the information that you share with us and use it only for the purposes you indicate — we will never trade or sell it.

We use trusted systems including but not limited to Salesforce, Mailchimp, DonationPay, and Gravity Forms. These systems have rigorous data protection standards, and their data are only accessible by Citizen University staff members who undergo training on data management best practices.

We use encryption (HTTPS) to protect information shared through our site. However, no action on the internet is 100% secure, so we can’t guarantee security. You are responsible for practicing smart and safe internet activity.

Cookies

Some third-party services that we use, such as Google Analytics, may place their own cookies in your browser. We are not responsible for the use of third-party cookies.

You can disable or reject cookies by instructing your Web browser accordingly. Consult your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, and Firefox) to adjust your settings.

We do not collect any personally identifiable information, such as mailing address or phone numbers, with third-party cookies.

Demographic data

In Citizen University program and job application forms, we collect demographic data to help us understand who we are reaching in an effort to be equitable and accessible for all. We strive to bring a wide array of perspectives and experiences into our programs.

We won’t share your personally identifiable information without your explicit permission. We’ll never share, trade, or sell this information. We will always specify when requesting demographic data whether it is anonymous or not.

We may update this privacy policy at any time. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to us at [email protected].
